The superb quality wines of Bordeaux are a blend of three (3) grapes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc. The wines which need 20 years to mature are mostly Sauvignon and therefore do not appear here. We have, however, chosen wines which are largely Merlot, therefore maturing faster and ready to drink. Chateau bottlings are consistently the best.

French-Red-Burgundy

The great wines of Burgundy are made from Pinot Noir Vines, Beaujolais, Gamay grapes. Their chief characteristic is not so much heaviness as richness and they are no less delicate then their equally famous brothers at Bordeaux. It has indeed been well said that if Bordeaux is the Queen of the wines then Burgundy is the King.
